Current Conclusions
1) Charlie's way. Good on you baby, maybe it would have been better if I had just let us drift away after the meconium aspiration, or if our ancestors had done the same after their own trauma.
2) Drift away. Wait for the oxygen to run out and keep busy and wait for physical trauma. This is the option I have chosen and it seems all the other remaining living beings too. It seems to be taking a very long time. As I wait, I share lessons learned on this blog.
3) Actively pursue peace. I've been working on this, but seem to be getting tons of pushback.
4) Resurrect Charlie's Time Machine, and go back before the Big Bang. Super hard, and he left no designs. So our only true option is not practical.
EVERYONE'S DEATH IS CAUSED BY STRESS AND THE RESULTING PTSD. No matter if you die young or old, of cancer or gunshot or suffocation or dehydration, as I suspect I will go. This is why the world needs peace so badly.
I guess I will keep sucking oxygen from the air. The fish will do so from the water. My mother will do so from her air compressor. The plants will suck CO2 from the air too. It's my only passive option. As Charlie would say: "Sure, let's go with that"
Here is a short list of resources that have resonated with me through this journey:
1) Thinking of all the living beings in the universe and their creations, especially Charlie.
2) The song Alice's Restaurant by Arlo Guthrie ( Link )
3) The video "Soft Language" by George Carlin ( Link )
4) The book "The Lorax" by Dr. Suess.
Some may say that "as long as there's life, there's hope". Sure let's go with that, I hope there will be peace.
Please join this movement to bring peace to our troubled world by commenting your stories about Charlie, or thoughts on peace and sharing with others. No account is required to make a comment, so saying anything, even just putting a "Peace" out into the universe would be appreciated.
I think I will add some definitions here, even though many are conflicting and circular.
ReplyDeletePeace - A state of stillness with total acceptance of all circumstances.
Love - A relationship between living beings in which all accept each other. Currently I only love our dog, Barkley. I think he loves me but spends most of his time with my husband.
Garbage - All the byproducts of living.
Littering- Generating garbage
Irony - All the contradictions.
Nature - The harmonious state of living and non living beings.
Instinct- The invisible, genetically encoded, driving force that compels us to act. The survival instinct is the strongest and has compelled me to act in destructive ways. In plants they do not call it instinct, but they have it too.
Peace
Other definitions
ReplyDeleteCommunication- An exchange of ideas between living beings.
Emergency- A situation which prompts the survival instinct to take priority action, whatever that may be.
Oh Peace, I can almost feel the state of serenity that I can see you longing for. It is a dream that I am sure many people share. And your questions provoke deep thoughtfulness. My caring is with you, and my typing is of course, always at your disposal.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cat. Peace
DeleteCat, I trust you and your intentions as far as I can throw them.
